Not because it CAN'T be done, but for the one infant that suffers significant damage as a result, it is better to C/S all the others. I believe the risk to the mother and the longer hospitalization/recovery and a "scar on the abdomen" are all preferable to one infant with significant damage that could have been avoided. This doesn't even take into account the litiginous aspects.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
