Unfortunately I was not able to participate in the IRC when the discussion was scheduled to be on Protocols. As I have not heard what was discussed I am taking the liberty of presenting how I think protocols should be presented and in another post i will use this outline to present a Breech Protocol for discussion.

I Name of the Protocol

II Rationale for having the protocol

III Prerequesites

IV Contraindications

V Technique

VI Controversial Areas (Relative contraindications)

VII Documentation needed for retrospective evaluation of the protocol.

If anyone has a better outline to be adhered to let's hear about it.

Peter

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
