Glen: My partner has coined the term "refusenik" for those who refuse everything. Until a few months ago, we had a midwife who while mainstream herself, did attract patients with wishes such as those you've described. My opinion, FWIW, is that many of them have already decided what they will and won't do, and discussion is fruitless ("Resistance is futile"). So, I learned to smile, tell them why I thought that a decision was wrong, and if they didn't do that which I asked, I used the trusy pen and paper and/or dictaphone. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
