post-Essure HSGsFrom: Hugo D Ribot Jr (hribot@mindspring.com)Sat Jan 31 16:20:12 2009
Hey listers, Is anyone having as hard a time as we are in getting reimbursement for post-Essure HSGs? Our state Medicaid managed care organizations don't seem to cover it, even though it's part of the FDA approval for the Essure. We keep running into the issue that they and commercial insurers, especially, think HSG is done for infertility reasons and we keep getting denials. Anyone (especially in Georgia) have any good suggestions?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
