Re: Hep C carrier & gyn surgeryFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@gmail.com)Wed Jan 28 21:10:52 2009
That was my thought after I hung up the phone. I was needing to get out of the office and called her back about whether or not to do a BSO - then she slipped in that she was taken off the Raptiva due to Hep C. It really was a side comment she made - and as soon as I hung up, my thought was "she shouldn't have elective surgery!" So I thought I would see what my ObGyn friends & colleagues would say.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
