Does anyone use procardia on a chronic basis for patients syptomatic with prematrue labor? Typically we will have someone admitted with PML and short cervix (ie <15mm) and they receive procardia and steroids. Usually are then left on procardia 10-20mg q 6 hrs indefinitely. Is this a routine anywhere else and is there any danger in this? I am familiar with cochrane study showing no befefit to chronic tocolysis. andy McCain or Obama? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
