Re: Question about hiring office employeesFrom: Pat Shaughnessy (rnshag45107@hotmail.com)Tue Oct 28 08:03:39 2008
Gail I definitely think you should require testing (TB) but in my position as a faculty member we pay for our own. I consider it incidental expense to having a position in health care. Also they should have proof of immunity for varicella, rubella, measles, Hep B. Are you providing insurance benefits as well?Pat Shaughnessy RNC, WHNP Thie MD Cincinnati, Ohio Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2008 23:07:32 -0500From: GIN11153@aol.comTo: ob-gyn-l@mail.obgyn.netSubject: Question about hiring office employees I am interviewing and hiring now for front and back office assistants for my OB clinic that hopefully will be open in 2 weeks. Do you require TB testing, chicken pox immunity vs vaccine, etc? I imagine if I do all this then I as the employer have to pay for the testing, as hospitals do with a new hire? I am hiring only people who are currently working in doctors' offices, who are friends of friends. Gail Neuman RNC CPHWAdministrator/student midwifeOrange County Maternity Center1210 S. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
