Re: Counselling- likely this would have no more effect than the thorough counselling and consideration that went into the informed consent for the tubal in the last pregnancy. She changed her mind after that, and will no doubt look upon her REI doctor as a miracle worker to begin with, then the devil when it all falls apart. If she has cash, there will be an REI provider who will do this for her, and then hand the time bomb off to another OB....and ultimately a lawyer. If she is borrowing to pay for her IVF, like buying a kitchen appliance, perhaps the Wall Street credit crunch will take the bottom out of her financing, and save the rest of us from financing her bottom...

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
