Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner, but is the advice to forgo a version based on evidence or based on gut feeling?

I had the same gut feeling, but not being able to put my finger on any definitive rationale for not trying I've agreed to consider it.

If it happens, it will be in about two weeks from now. I"ll let you know the outcome.

So you don't know for sure whether or not she has a vaginal septum, or one or two cervices. The findings at the time of section will guide you as to incision site in uterus. i.e. Right side, left side, or usual. with 2 cervices, you wouild make it on the side the baby is on. With one cervix and 2 horns, make it in the usual spot. No version attempt should be made. Not even "gentle" in my opinion.

Does anyone have any experience in attempting version in someone that has a didelphyic or bicornuate uterus?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
