When I studied Latin the plural of the neutral words ending in "-um" was "-a". Hence "stratum, strata" and "addendum, addenda".

Plural of Adnexa!!!!! I think NOT. Also Adnexum is masculine singular. Adnexa is feminine singular. and Adnexae (if there were such a thing) would be Feminine plural. See I paid attention in Latin class in High School. Mrs Goerlich would be proud of me.

I am a medical translator translating from English into Russian. I have
a following text to translate:
Uterus: Position was normal. Not tender.
Uterine adnexa was not tender on the right.
Besides other less relevant versions dictionaries translate the word
'tender' as 'soft' and as 'painful'.
I can imagine that at various patho-physiological states both uterus and
uterine adnexia can be either soft or painful or the both and I can't
make up my mind, which translation fits better.
Before changing to translation I was specializing on cardiology. I live
outside any English-speaking country, so a possibility co consult with
anybody on the matter of translation is limited.
