I thought informed consent was at least a small factor. The relative risks of each choice would be part of that information process, which would of course also include the lack of immediate access to c/s should the risk become reality. The medical staff is not choosing to attend a VBAC without appropriate support. The patient is choosing to decline a c/s.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
