You can -IF- that was the first time you had a full discussion about the reason for the colposcopy and fully discussed the procedure / risks and got permission. If you previously discussed it with her - as on the phone - then you can't (or at least are not supposed to). Some insurers will only pay the lesser of the charges - but may not tell you ahead of time those internal "rules"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
