Dear Friends of OBGYN.net,

It is with deep sadness that I write to inform you of the death of our friend C.P.Perry M.D. He was one of the original supporters of the birth of OBGYN.net and continued as Chairman of the Chronic Pelvic Pain section since it's conception. We all will greatly miss him.

We received the following email from Heather at his society:

>It is with deepest sadness that the Endometriosis Research Center
>reports that Dr. C. Paul Perry passed away this morning after his
>lengthy battle with cancer.
>
>The Founder of the International Pelvic Pain Society and one of the
>most beloved pelvic pain specialists in the world, Dr. Perry was adored
>and respected by both patients and colleagues from around the globe.
>His positive impact on the Endometriosis and pelvic pain communities
>helped achieve great strides in the care and treatment of many who were
>suffering.
>
>He will be sorely missed.
>
>We ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and if
>appropriate, your prayers, during this most difficult time.
>
>Anyone wishing to extend condolences to his family may do so via Dr.
>Perry's Caring Bridge website at:

With deep sorrow, Barbara

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
