Re: OB: Planned Home Birth After Previous CesareanFrom: verner nellsch (vnellsch@eastex.net)Sun May 4 18:34:07 2008
one restaurant can pretty much cover another in terms of providing sustenance. they are state inspected and licensed, probably more than home birth providers. however, in medicine there is the rule of coverage. can the home birth provider cover the practice of a hospital based ob/gyn? no. but the rawest second year ob/gyn resident with an operating room and crew can do everything the home birth provider can, and more. when they throw up their hands and send the patient to the hospital, he can do what they cannot. vnellsch

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
