Male partner association with anembryonic gestationFrom: Glen Elrod (dr99645@yahoo.com)Wed Apr 23 14:32:53 2008
I am seeing a couple that I just diagnosed with an anembryonic gestation (blighted ovum) with a gestational sac measuring 6+5 wks without yolk sac or fetal pole. hCG was 79K now 77K. She gives the history that her husband has had two previous partners that have gotten pregnant and have also had anembryonic gestations. This now makes his third female partner to experience such a loss. Is there any connection between male factors and anembryonic gestations? Would chromosomal testing of him be warranted with that history? Thanks, Glen
