In Louisiana, the La. State Bar Ass'n has a list of all the lawyers. Then, you can go to the La. Supreme Court site and search the lawyer's name and see any public sanction levied against him, plus the details of the case.

I presume most states have the same.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
