Gyn: Thickened endometrium

82 YO P3003, menopausal at age 55 and never on hormones, had a two CTs over a few day for UPPER abdominal pain.

She is not bleeding.

One CT showed a thickened endometrium of 10 mm, for which she was referred.

Her exam was benign and consistent with her age and menopausal status.

A pelvic ultrasound was ordered (I ordered it):

10 mm endometrium with a 1 cm. cyst or artifact in the lower uterine segment.

What's next?

Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
