That has nothing whatever to do with Leipolds - that is Paulik's grip and is in the textbooks. Should be one of the first things you learn in Obstetrics as a student. In fact Leipolds manoeuvres are not all that helpful for head descent.

Once you get the panus out of the way. The best way to palpate for the head is with one hand between your tumb and middle fingers, this was taught to me by someone three decades ago, he insisted it was the only part of leopalds worth anything, took me about 20 breech and tranverse lie's to realize he was right.
