I often wonder how much credit should go to "good parenting" when it comes to how children would turn out. It goes without saying that parents are obligated to do their best to raise their children. But sometimes the best effort could be in vain, and often kids would turn out fine despite of having had bad parenting.

How much control do children have over how their brains are wired? To what extent can their intellect override their "raging hormones"? How much can nurture change nature?

So congratulations, Jennifer. You seem to be happy with how your daughter is turning out - whether it is because of her superior pedigree or your peerless parenting. For those parents who are not so lucky... it is a good thing to have Gardasil and Implanon around. :-)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
