only thing about epsom salts..is that is gives one horrible diarrhoea...indeed it used to be taken to try and bring on labor in post-dates.... so maybe giving it to pre-term mothers might not be ideal if one is trying to have them hold off delivering. though giving mgso4 IV doesn't give the same "bowel" problem as far as I know...but I do not think epsom salts would be ideal...besides it tastes horrid. frances wren

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
