Re: BSO without hysterectomyFrom: AllanHo@aol.comWed Jan 30 22:03:06 2008
In a message dated 1/30/2008 10:04:23 PM Eastern Standard Time, johnprov@sympatico.ca writes: Actually the one's who are BRCA positive should be getting Hysts also, the big path reviews from the Toronto Study showed early Falopian tube CA which we all know act like ovarian CA , the Falopian CA was often in the cornal part of the tube!
-- Take care, John I guess the jury is still out on this one. The last article I read showed no "exclusive proximal lesions" for BRCA positive women with Fallopian tube CA. From what I have read, the S part of the BSO should suffice in reducing the risk of Fallopian tube cancer. I would appreciate any references if that's not the case. Thanks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
