Garry she has a serious problem which is not going to go away, the problem is not your fault and its not her fault, there is a good chance it would be solved if she took your initial advice. When faced with this kind of situation I usually tell the patient they are welcome to go elsewhere for treatment or another opinion, the door is open on the way in and open on the way out.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
