Re: How to do a hysterectomyFrom: Rafael Haciski (haciski@earthlink.net)Wed Dec 19 14:15:59 2007
But despite preaching evidence, you do not have any evidence yourself, rather you are saying that your Urologist is better than my urologist. That's sooooo schoolyard. If we are going to be moving on basis of supposition and theory (no evidence), than from a purely theoretical standpoint is is better to react sooner than later. Leaking urine dissects, may form a nidus for infection, is harder to repair later than sooner. And cystoscopy is not for hematomas, as you suggest in subsequent email but for ureteral patency, which may have been constricted, obstructed, sutured, squashed etc due to my human frailties (unlike you uber menschen) - although in 23 years of practice I have never "bagged" a ureter (yet). The bottom line is that the 5 minute simple look-see affords me a peace of mind, which I value.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
