Re: Prforation of the uterus with a Mirena IUD in a waoman with a previous laparatomy. From: R. Daniel Braun (rd.braun@gmail.com)Sun Dec 16 13:37:10 2007
Since it is on the Left side of the pelvis, it is likely stuck to something. If it were free, it would have migrated to the LUQ by now. Since it is not a closed loop, it shouldn't cause strangulation of a loop of bowel. The only way it should cause a problem is by eroding into some structure. Highly unlikely. Or if she wants to get pregnant before all the agent is re;leased. Dan On Dec 16, 2007 10:59 AM, Jacob <urbache@013.net> wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
