Re: Methadone Pregnancy InfoFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Sun Dec 2 13:01:01 2007
There is a good article that addresses it in the Green Journal, v100, #6, 12/02, Jodi Dashe, et.al, "Relationship between maternal methadone dosage and neonatal withdrawal. It can occur on as low as 20mg/d (12% of mothers) and increases to 90% on mothers receiving 40mg/d or more. It's almost a linear correlation and also correlates to duration of neonatal hospitalization. Ronald E. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
