Re: Thin Prep versus PapSureFrom: AllanHo@aol.comThu Sep 27 23:19:32 2007
I prefer SurePath because I can obtain the specimen, break the tip off in the vial and sent it off to the lab. With ThinPrep, I had many samples that came back to have inadequate cells - apparently because I didn't swirl the broom, brush or spatula in the vial long enough. I don't know anything about PapSure. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
