Question for listers

A fifty five year old patient LMP 2-3 yrs ago presents with recent hx of aortic valve replacement and aortic arch graft tells me she has been counseled to minimize calcium intake secondary to concerns re its effect on her graft and her valve. This has just arisen in the last minute or two. Of course Google is our friend, as are cardiologists, but any relevant input from the group would be appreciated, regarding the topic of what this lady should do re intake for maintenance of bone strength.

Thanks

Hank

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
