Obviously, yes.

In a normal delivery, endometrium is in open contact with a "infected" cavity (vagina), and for thousand or years it was not a problem, till doctors began to do births, as Semmelweis demonstrate. About abdominal wall, not all of the abdominal surgery procedures needs prophylaxis and most of c-section are one of them.
