If she simply had a perforated uterus and no need for surgical repair, it should not be a significant risk for uterine rupture.

List mates, I need opinions and references ASAP.

Do you offer or recommend vaginal birth after a perforated uterus? This particular case is a G2P1 transferred into my practice today at 32 6/7 with a history of uterine perforation following IUD placement. Pt had IUD laparoscopically removed from the pelvis with unknown uterine repair. I am attempting to get an op report, but pending that, I would love to know what others are doing.

We are discussing this as a practice in the morning and I hope to be able to discuss this in an educated manor.

Thanks in advance,

Tom in NC
