They did not put her on any anticonvulsant, but they mentioned a seizure as a possibility to the patient- not us. The electrophoresis was drawn but I haven't seen the results yet. I see her tomorrow and should have it back by then. The OB should get a 'wet read' report from the hematologist tomorrow. I will make sure to see the retic results, bili and ferritin levels. I would hope they drew them, but I haven't seen a report. I will get them and see where it goes from there. I will pass along the suggestions. The list always gives some really good advice/suggestions. Thank you sooo much .. The pediatrician is aware of the stuff going on and he wants the kid delivered up at 'the big house', but the OB accepted her and the papoose back, so she is ours for the moment. We all know we are on a zebra hunt, but it is not often we run into zebras like this. They want us to deliver her here and when we do, we want to be prepared for a few of the most common zebras. Baby is doing OK. NST 3 X week. BPP at least twice a week in the office and then an US for fetal growth (so far) in each of the last 2 weeks. Cervix is not ripe at the moment, but we keep checking and hoping. I had a long talk with the family and they agreed to a transfusion before delivery because she did have about a 500 cc EBL with the last delivery. I hope I can talk her into a good contraceptive method. My nerves can't stand this again next years. Thank you for the lab work suggestions before we transfuse her. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
