Sure sounds like she had a siezure to me and was found in a post-ictal state. Though I usually don't tranfuse at 80 I would in some one after such an event. 80 with a little hyopglycemia and orthostatic hypotension may be enough to cuase a siezure at a watershed area of her brain. At 36 weeks with a favorable cervix I would induce her, the baby tolerated the event well that may not be the case next time. If they thought she had a siezure was she placed on an anticonvulsant?

Take care, John

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
