NYT - Doctors Are Paid Too Much

Although I think some doctors are paid too much (radiologists' base pay around KC is $800K), the problem is NOT how much doctors receive annually, the problem IS how doctors spend other people's money because of perverse incentives (sickness is rewarded rather than health) and the fear of litigation.

If you ask me, the root of much of the problem is the entire concept of employer-supplied healthcare (and trial attorneys).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
