Joanne, its not clear if they actually washed thier hands under a sink; I believe actually flushing water over your hands is what makes the difference and every cleaning agent will work better in that context. Myer was refering to spores, washing your hands washes the spores away it may not kill them. Isopropyl alochol solutions are all the rage, most people air dry, usually a small amount of liquid is used , when it dries the spores will still be there. It may be wastefull of water but I can not think of a better use other than drinking.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
