sinks vs. sanitizersFrom: Richard Chudacoff (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Wed Jul 25 15:52:57 2007
I'm building out a new office space. I'm trying to justify the need to cut the foundation to put sinks in every exam room. It would seem to me that just having the antibacterial sanitizers in every room would suffice and probably be more antiseptic than sinks with sloshing water. The architect questioned whether legally or community standard required sinks. He agrees that it would be a huge cost savings to just have the sinks in the bathrooms and lab/autoclave area. Thoughts?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
