Zofran for hyperemesisFrom: GIN11153@aol.comMon Jun 18 21:59:18 2007
Friend of a friend's wife was prescribed Zofran for hyperemesis -she's in her first trimester. It's prohibitively expensive and they can't afford it because they have a new insurance plan with a huge deductible. He said 24 pills is several hundred dollars that they don't have. Costco's cash price for 30 tabs is $1,256.44 !!! Can you suggest something cheaper? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
