Re: Bioidentical hormone pelletFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Tue Apr 17 13:43:24 2007
Ronald E. Ainsworth, MD, FACOG
I'm never surprised about what family docs do with hormones. I've had two
endometrial cancers in the past five years from prolonged unopposed estrogen
in women followed by the family docs until they began bleeding, one was on
shots, the other on Premarin.
> What the heck is in the estrogen pellet? I find it hard to believe that some one would put a women on unopesed estrogen, is the pellet a combo form of HRT? Personally I would feels uncomfortable not sampling this women's endometrium.

Take care, John

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
