List serve members, A missionary physician in Matamoros, Mexico has recruited volunteer ob/gyn physicians and nurses who travel from the US to provide cervical screening and treatment for women in several colonias and remote fishing villages. I am trying to procure LEEP equipment and a colposcope for the clinic so that physicians can diagnose and treat the women with dysplastic lesions in the communities where they live...if they have to travel or go to the hospital, they rarely get treatment.

If you have or know of a working LEEP unit and/or colposcope that could be donated to the organization, please let me know and I'll help make arrangements for it to be delivered. One clinic has electricity and the other site will soon have a generator and be able to support these devices.

Verification of this organization can be found at http://www.juntosservimos.org

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
