Fortunately for women, and I guess your patients, they no longer have deep forceps rotations of transverse lies after hours of prolonged second stage. The Unindicated Cesarean for these and other reasons makes these patients rare in our modern society and now rusting of the pelvis from disuse (endometriosis and infertility) leads people to see eroded broad ligaments from endometriosis instead of the original condition. BTW, William Masters or "Wild Bill" was one and the same Masters of the Masters and Johnson fame. Masters Windows was one of the early sexual dysfunction problems he studied . He cured these with with repair of the laceration, not Lupron or sexual psycho therapy. sAm

I have seen this kind of syndrome many times, it is almost always associated with previous surgical treatment of endometriosis. Though it possible for it to occur spontaneous I think you are looking at the interaction of surigical treatment and endometriosis. If this women has pain and endometriosis I would have no problem offering her a hysterectomy, I would warn her there is a significant chance her ovaries may have to be removed.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
