Re: Instrument for the Infundibulo-pelvic ligamentsFrom: Rafael Haciski (haciski@earthlink.net)Tue Feb 6 07:10:00 2007
Over the many years, I have used bipolar cautery, Gyrus, and harmonic scalpel. The first two have always resulted in good hemostasis, while the harmonic scalpel caused a few anxious moments when bleeding occurred and we had to resort to bipolar to control it. I have seen this in my hands as well as others, so i am not sure it is an operator related problem (though possible)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
