Re: Difficult twinsFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Sun Dec 31 09:36:20 2006
Having not done a whole lot of internal podalic versions, but having done a fair number of breech deliveries, I was quite amazed at the process when I last did one. I then brushed up in the textbook, and it reminded me to dislodge the vertex/move it with an abdominal hand while grasping the feet. I hope that an internal podalic version was done here. I hope that you are in a situation such that you can have an anesthesiologist and OR available the next time that you deliver vaginal twins. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
