Hi,

I have inherited a patient of my colleague who is away over the holidays,

Two previous Caesars, pulmonary embolus in February 2006, went off the pill, and duly fell pregnant at now 36 weeks, to get another pulmonary embolus yesterday. Is now in ICU but clinically well, not dyspnoeic at all, in the care of an Internist on Clexane.

I have asked for an Ultrasound for dates (for all it is worth) and fetal wellbeing, and ordered serial CTGs.

I forgot to mention that she is a colleague (Pediatrician).

greetings, el

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
