I believe I hear an echo. This is the exact message which I sent to this group on 11/25. I thought it was interesting at the time that there was no response to the ACNM position from any of the list members. It saddens me that so many seem to prefer flippant repartee to reasoned discourse.

Like many others, I believe this is an important subject worthy of discussion on this list, in other professional forums, in the lay press, and on the floors of legislatures. Because it is so important I would much prefer to see a calm and thoughtful approach.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
