BTW one option folks might utilize should the pre-op diagnosis of accreta be reasonably certain is the placement of intra-arterial catheters for the purpose of embolization to keep blood loss to a minimum. Oh, and that would be by your friendly neighborhood interventional rads, not by MFM.
