You can bet that from now on, the staff have to write 'c/section, possible hysterectomy, possible blood transfusions,.....

In my facility, only OR personnel are in the L&D OR, except for the nursery nurse to catch the baby. The L&D staff care for the patient up to the OR door only. But yes, I agree that the OR dept. manager should be reviewing emergency protocols and procedures with her staff.

I don't know how often my staff did emergency drills with the previous managers-I just started in July. But I will find out and do them at least twice a year?
