Re: Question about placenta accretaFrom: GIN11153@aol.comSun Oct 29 13:30:21 2006
You can bet that from now on, the staff have to write 'c/section, possible hysterectomy, possible blood transfusions,..... In my facility, only OR personnel are in the L&D OR, except for the nursery nurse to catch the baby. The L&D staff care for the patient up to the OR door only. But yes, I agree that the OR dept. manager should be reviewing emergency protocols and procedures with her staff. I don't know how often my staff did emergency drills with the previous managers-I just started in July. But I will find out and do them at least twice a year? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
