I agree...where are the studies that substantiate the use of theres two types of progesterone.

Matria provides a nurse and weekly 17P injections in the home if the insurance covers it. Also, Adeza has received tentative approval for 17P, called Gestiva from the FDA. Google "Adeza" and you will see the latest FDA status.

For what it is worth, we have been using alternate delivery forms for giving the progesterone Specifically. we have been using prometrium at 200mg po bid at 20 weeks till term and some are even using progesterone cream ie Prochieve 4% daily application. The studies on these two sources are not yet in but many question the validity of the 17 oh progesterone studies in terms of whether there is a true reduction in premature deliverines.
