Very interesting. But more interesting I was not able to find the article mentioned in the USA Today<http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/discoveries/2006-08-07-ultrasound-baby-brains_x.htm?POE=TECISVA>in Tuesday's edition <http://www.pnas.org/content/vol103/issue32/> of *Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences <http://www.pnas.org/>*. So is this a hoax or do I miss anything? Any how I can tell you from my experience of 15 years that fetuses would usually be disturbed and close their ears with their hands during ultrasound scan. So I would not scan for a long period. Bulent Potur MD Obgyn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
