Not so fast el - the placenta is no longer functioning and she is less than halfway through the 2nd trimester. What alternative are you proposing? If you are talking of a hysterotomy you will soon be able to afford your own Porsche with golf bags if you do that for all your 2nd trimester fetal demises! The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
