Reiner, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. has been a member of the OBGYN.net Executive Advisory Board since the founding of OBGYN.net in 1996. In 1998 he left private practice and followed his passion for teaching by assuming a position as Associate Professor in the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Texas Tech Health Science Center of Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. Now a full professor he has been extensively involved in residency instruction in the department. In June, 2006 he was awarded the prestigious National Faculty Award by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Council on Resident Education in Ob/Gyn. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
