Stool for Occult bloodFrom: igold@cox.netTue Jun 27 21:54:41 2006
I do them on everyone at their annual over 40 years old. Perhaps my practice patterns have something to do with personal experience. No one did one on my mom who was diagnosed with colon cancer at 51 and dead in a year. I've had colonoscopies myself every 3 years since I was 26, when she was diagnosed. BTW, they said she probably had it for 7 years before they found it. By then it was Stage 4. Ingrid Gold, CNM ,Phoenix

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
