>> thanks for all the comments: I saw her today, removed the IUD and told her the research was not clear whether or not she now needed antibiotic treatment prior to pregnancy and gave her the option. She chose treatment and will delay pregnancy for at least 2 months. These patients concern me more because I often see women from distant counties and may have no follow-up, so I think we’re all happy. Marilyn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
